Year 8 Netball vs All Saints

A strong performance from our Year 8 girls against All Saints!

The team showed brilliant resilience and determination throughout, working hard defensively and putting pressure on the ball across court.

There were some great passages of play, with the girls transitioning the ball through court and linking well between defence, centre court and attack. Moving forward, our focus will be on showing a little more patience in possession, resetting when needed and waiting for the right option to open up.

Player of the Match: Iulia – a fantastic performance in her first game for the school and well deserved!

Great work, girls!

Year 11 Boys | Essex Cup

The Year 11 boys produced a battling performance in challenging conditions in the Essex Cup, with strong winds and heavy rain making it a difficult afternoon for both teams. In a physical and hard-fought contest, the boys showed great determination and resilience, taking a deserved 1–0 lead.

Unfortunately, despite their efforts and commitment throughout, the team were left disappointed as the opposition fought back to secure a 2–1 victory. It was a cruel result for the boys, who gave everything and were incredibly unlucky not to come away with more. They can take great pride in their performance, attitude and fighting spirit in such difficult conditions.

Year 7 Boys | Essex Cup

The Year 7 boys got their football journey off to a fantastic start, securing an impressive 5–0 victory against a strong Debden Park side in their first-ever game together as a team in the Essex Cup!

The boys showed excellent teamwork, determination and quality throughout the match, scoring some fantastic goals and working tirelessly for one another. It was particularly pleasing to see how quickly the team came together, demonstrating great communication, confidence and a real desire to play for each other.

There were some standout individual performances from Lenny, Matthew, Darius and Orges, who all made excellent contributions to a superb team effort. A clean sheet and five goals in their first outing together made it a memorable start for the boys.

A brilliant performance and an excellent foundation to build on as their Essex Cup campaign continues. Well done, boys!

Rugby

vs Riverside

Shoutout to the year 8 boys who really fronted up and took one a tough Riverside team. This fixture last year was a difficult one for us as we conceded many tries.

Although we lost 20-10, the story was different this time round. The boys really grew into the game and made some dominant carries (Nooa A, Ellis B, Joel A, Yahya M, Brian P, Jaziah S) alongside some dominant tackling from Luis G and Lemuel K. Ben N was superb in the breakdown who must have been in 90% of the rucks we had.
