Sydney Russell achieves the Gold standard in the School Games Mark!

Sydney Russell has worked hard to achieve the Gold standard in the School Games Mark by providing a broad and inclusive range of sporting opportunities for all pupils. We have increased participation in competitive and non-competitive activities, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to represent the school and develop their skills, confidence and teamwork.

We have also encouraged pupil leadership through sports leaders, playground activities and supporting younger pupils. Staff have continued to develop their knowledge and provision of PE and school sport, while strong links with local schools and sporting organisations have enabled pupils to take part in a variety of competitions and festivals.

Our commitment to inclusion, leadership, participation and competition has helped to create a positive sporting culture across the whole school.
