It has been wonderful to meet our prospective Year 7 students this week as we prepare for them joining in September. My thanks to our wonderful staff who have conducted the transition meetings, have helped parents to purchase uniform and have supported the smooth running of the week. We know that our new Year 7 students and parents are looking forward to the start of the next chapter.
This week we have seen our GOLD Duke of Edinburgh Award students take on their final Qualifier challenge as they aim to achieve this incredibly high standard of award. They have done really well so far - take a look at our Instagram to see them in action: sydneyrussellschool_official
Well done also goes to our Year 1 children who all completed their phonics assessments over the past weeks. They have worked really hard on their phonics all year, with the brilliant support of their teachers and families, and we are very proud of them all. Well done!
Next week we see the end of exams for students in Year 11 and Year 13 - the weeks have flown by and they have given it their all. Let's make the final week a good one. We look forward to celebrating with you in our Leavers' Assemblies and Celebrations next week.
