Curriculum
The Sydney Russell Primary school follows the National Curriculum: Follow Link
Rationale
This topic will be the start of the pupil’s time at Sydney Russell School: Primary (SRSP) and the start of the provision itself. The aim of this topic is to provide focused and meaningful teaching and learning opportunities in which pupils can develop basic skills whilst learning about themselves and their new environment. The topic will enable pupils to become more familiar with each other, with the expectations of SRSP and enable teachers to evaluate on-entry levels for pupils, so that by the end of the topic teachers will be able to level each child against basic skills and set targets for learning.
