In Literacy Focus, Year 8 students have been reading the novel Stone Cold which is about a young boy who becomes homeless. Over the last couple of days students from 8ML, 8MU and 8AS have voluntarily taken part in a project related to this novel in order to gain a better understanding of what it is like to be homeless.
A representative from the charity Hope4Havering, who these students are kindly raising money for, visited the students and helped them create signs to help the homeless. Today, they personified this role taking part in a soup kitchen and volunteered to have their photos taken, which they then learnt to edit using Photoshop.
Well done to all involved!
